We have been keeping busy during lockdown embroidering bricks for our Wall of Friendship 2020 project.
Our aim is to create a wall hanging made up of embroidered family names associated with the church or village to hang in St Botolph’s Church.
At the time we started this project we had not thought that 2020 would be such a momentous year in world history!
We are still aiming to complete a hanging by the end of the year, but it has become a little more difficult than we expected!
Originally we had hoped that all of the bricks would have been completed by the end of June, leaving us 6 months to work on making the hanging. With the lockdown situation, Craft Group has not been able to meet and (as I write) we are still unable to go out and purchase backing materials.
So, we would like to extend the time to hand in bricks until the end of December 2020. We are also extending the time to purchase a brick until 30 September 2020.
If you would like to take this opportunity to join in with the project and to include your family name, please do get in touch with either;
